VBall Rotary Control Valve

Rotary VBall Control Valves are available from S&K Automation. Both Industrial and Commercial / HVAC Versions of this Valve are available to fit your application. We can help with Control Valve Sizing for Liquids, Gases and Steam.


Rotary VBall Control Valves are an Excellent Replacement for Butterfly Valves used for Control. Rotary VBall Control Valves have wider controllable range 300:1 vs 10:1 for Most Butterfly Valves. *see note below about valve turndown. A valve sized for 60 - 80 % open at maximum flow and not less than 20% minimum flow will give the best control.


* vball control valves typically have a turndown of 100:1. If a manufacturer states turndown as a very high ratio like 500:1 per size, it means from the lowest cv of the smallest oriface size with the valve almost closed to the largest cv of the largest oriface size with the valve fully open.

Similiar in function to Fisher V150 and Masoneilon Camflex, but at a much more economical price. Replaces pressure compensating control valves that often have problems with sliders hanging up and require constant off line maintenance. Economical upgrade for larger size butterfly control valves, which are often oversized (line size) for chiller and other flow control applications.
