Rotary Globe Control Valve Advantages

Eccentric Rotary V-Ball Control Valves feature:

  • Maintenance Free unlike Pressure Compensated Control Valves which Often Have Problems with Sliders Hanging Up due to Corrosion, Wear and Particle Buildup.
  • High Rangeability with 300:1 turndown ratio (compare to 100:1 Vball, 35:1 Globe Valve: and 10:1 Butterfly Valve, Typical)
  • Energy Saving Control of steam, hot water, chilled water and glycol mix for commercial building control systems and many industrial process control systems.
  • Cost Savings: e.g. You can use a 1-1/2" vnotch ball valve instead of a 3" traditional globe valve as the cv is much greater in this valve.
  • The flow charactoristic is equal percentage.
  • Higher shutoff pressure than other valve types.
  • Control Load Swings and Seasonal Fluctuations with dual valve configuration for 1/3, 2/3 control.
  • Class 6 Bubble Tight Shutoff.
  • Damper Actuators can be used because of low operating torque up to 6".
  • Ball Cams into Seat reducing seat wear and gives longer operating life.
  • NPT, Wafer and Flanged Connections
  • Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel Body

  • What are the general function of valves?

Automated Valves are mechanical devices that control the flow and pressure within a system or process. They are an essential part of piping systems that convey liquids, gas, vapors, ect. There are many different types of valves and it is up to you to determine which one is right for you and your project. Some valves are self-operated, while others are manual.

Some general functions of valves include:

    • Relieve a pipe system of pressure
    • Regulating process pressure and flow
    • Controlling the direction of flow
    • Increasing or reducing a flow
    • Starting or stopping flow
