Wafer Butterfly Valves

Wafer Butterfly Valves are Lower Cost and Are Used By OEMs and Contractors When Assembling a Project at the Jobsite. A Long Bolt is Passed Through the Flange on Both Sides of the Valve and Across the Valve Body. Nuts, Washers and Locknuts are Placed on Both Ends of the Threaded Rod Bolts.

Lugged Butterfly Valves

Lugged Butterfly Valves are a Little Higher Cost and Are Used By OEMs and Contractors When Shipping a Skid or When there is Piping Vibration or Possible Shifting or Vibration of the Piping System. The Body of the Valve Contains Threads so a Bolt Goes Through the Flange on Either Side of the Valve and Threads into the Valve Body. Considered More Secure than Wafer Style, but Cost is Higher.
